Storm Herminia is continuing to make its way across Europe, with parts of Italy and France battered by heavy rain and strong winds.

Italy’s Tuscany and Liguria regions have been particularly affected with flash flooding hitting the streets and underpasses of Florence.

Intense winds caused a wall to collapse in Genoa, with firefighters searching the rubble to ensure no-one was trapped under it.

A landslide also blocked a road between Busalla and Mignanego.

According to the Italian fire service, Vigili del Fuoco, no homes had been affected but a number of cars were hit.

Meanwhile, three French departments remain under a red weather alert, including Ille-et-Vilaine after Storm Herminia caused the worst flooding there in 40 years.
