Scientix® Cultural Legacy Award supported by Europeana

Educators, get ready for a new challenge! In the context of the 2025 STEM Discovery Campaign, the Europeana project is supporting the Scientix Cultural Legacy Award. The award celebrate teachers in primary, secondary and post-secondary education, VET and special education of any subject, museum educators, and other CHI professionals (like librarians, archivists, curators and other non-formal educators) whose entries present the stories of implementation (standard or micro) that make the best use of Europeana’s resources.

What do you need to do?

To participate, use any of the freely available Europeana resources in an educational setting—whether from the Teaching with Europeana blog (e.g., learning scenarios) or the Europeana.eu platform (e.g., CC-licensed or public domain images, videos, and other materials). Then, share your experience by writing a story of reuse – either an extended case study as in a story of implementation or a micro-story, describing how you implemented the resource and the outcomes.

This Award, as all the Scientix Awards, will take into account the information provided in the description of the activity in the Submission Form, as well as any additional information linked in the description or the ‘Website’ question, like:

  • a more detailed ‘Story of Implementation’ (using this template).

The prizes

Winners (x5) will be invited to the upcoming 2025 Science Projects Workshop in Brussels. Winning stories of reuse will be published on the Teaching with Europeana blog. 5 runner-up stories will be published on the Teaching with Europeana blog.
