Abstract/Introduction
This learning scenario was implemented in the subject chemistry in the senior year of secondary education. The age of the students is 17, the group size is 20. Students have not had any specific experience in the use of science digital heritage.
The students have the topic in their curriculum of science. By using this learning scenario they can use their gained knowledge in a different way and prove they master the matter of the subject.
The original learning scenario was adapted to the content of the chemistry course of the students and translated in Dutch.

Preparation
Before the use of the learning scenario, I made some adaptations to it, to make it fit in the curriculum of the students: some questions were replaced, others were formulated differently. The whole LS was translated in Dutch to make sure students would fully understand the assignment.
Implementation
To implement the learning scenario, I used two lessons (100 min). Since the learning scenario is designed as an escape room, I choose a moment where I could use two connected lessons, so no answers would get lost between the first part and the second part of the activity.
The students work in pairs to solve the questions of the escape room, this give them to chance discuss their ideas.
Collaboration
As I am working together with a colleague who is teaching a parralel group of students on this subject, we chose to have botch lessons on the same day, in order to avoid students revealing answers to their peers.
Evaluation
The aim is to help all students to reach the exit of the escape room. As time is limited, we gave them hints on certain answers, but we registered the number of times they asked for help, so we could take this in count for their final score.
